This course provides a comprehensive examination of the constitutional framework and governance structure of Ghana, with emphasis on the 1992 Constitution and its practical operation.
The programme will explore constitutional evolution, an overview of the 1992 Constitution, citizenship, chieftaincy, commissions of inquiry, rights and responsibilities of citizens, constitutional interpretation, ouster clauses, the electoral process, and constitutional litigation.
Students will develop the ability to analyse constitutional provisions, interpret institutional powers, and evaluate the enforcement and protection of constitutional rights within Ghana’s legal system.
Emphasis is placed on clear legal reasoning, case analysis, and structured responses required for examination success.
